It is not generally known that they are siblings due to their physical differences as well as their last names. She recently moved from Inaba to Port Island and is a second-year transfer student at Gekkoukan High School. Generally, she is outgoing and friendly but can get bored with routine, always looking for a new adventure. She is persuasive and can be impulsive at times.

|Sayori Kaizumi lives in Inaba and is a first-year student at Yasogami High School. Outgoing and charismatic, she finds it easy to adjust to new environments. Because of her magnetic personality, she is also very good at making long-lasting friendships. Sayori is also a talented figure skater. Even though she has obvious talent for it she doesn't talk about it that often. Most people are unaware that she has an older sister since they go to different schools. Also they do not share the same last name so it is a pretty common mistake. She has no problem letting people know that they are sisters though as she adores her. Despite being much shorter than her sister Misaki, they still have many similar features. She can often be seen with a Jack Frost Doll that her sister sent her.

|Sayori grew up in Port Island with her parents and older sister, Misaki. When she was in Junior High her parents split and she went to live with her dad and his mistress (now stepmom). During Golden Week in 2010 she was visiting her mother and sister in Port Island when she ended up in the Dark Hour. Since she had the potential already she did not transmogrify but barely remembered the incident afterward.<br><br>The next night she went out again and this time encountered a rather minor shadow. She was terrified but it was through her distress that Leviathan came from within her. Not knowing what to think about it she tried to make her way home. As she did so, Sayori felt like someone was watching her. Aigis emerged and told her that she saw the whole thing. She was rather shocked at Aigis' robotic appearance but they talked about what had just happened. She also gave her the contact information for Mitsuru but Sayori has yet to call her. She has not summoned Leviathan since her awakening.

Leviathan is a fire-breathing creature of such immense size that the sea boils when it swims on the surface. It ruthlessly and fearlessly rules over all the creatures of the sea. The Leviathan's skin is like a double coat of mail, with overlapping scales as large as shields on its back, and as sharp and hard as broken pottery on its underparts. Swords and harpoons will simply bounce off such protection. It breathes smoke from its nostrils and flames from its mouth which is rimmed with teeth. Its fins radiate a brilliant light and its eyes are like the glimmerings of dawn.
