Profile And Skills

Having lived in an orphanage and later in Lunarvale for the last ten years ever since the Kirijo Incident in Port Island, Minako was reunited with her long-lost twin brother Minato when Mikage-cho materialized. A naive but exuberant teenager filled with joie de vivre, she is friendly, charismatic, compassionate, and an excellent listener. While she can also be pushy, direct, stubborn and prone to daydreaming when she's got her headphones on, as well as an outrageous flirt who doesn't *quite* get the meaning behind flirting, she'd throw her back to the wall for those she cares for. She possesses a rare power, that of the Wild Card, and is able to hold more Personae within herself than the average person. Despite, or perhaps because of this, she is open and generally sane.

Integrated Background

Minako Arisato is Minato Arisato's younger twin sister, age 17, birthday November 2. She's not a result of something created in Mikage-cho; she existed in the real world and she will be sticking around for a good long while, barring something very unfortunate.

Her memories of the incident on the bridge are fuzzy, but she remembers being there with Minato, intense violence and getting knocked off the bridge. She doesn't remember what happened next pretty much at all, save for vague feelings--major trauma will do that to you--but the doctors told her that someone managed to fish her out of the water, give her CPR, and brought her to the hospital. The doctors and police tried to find her parents, but no one ever came for her, and so she was sent to an orphanage. She believed that her family had all died ever since then. As a result of excellent grades in middle school, she managed to get a scholarship to St. Hermelin High School and thus not worry about paying for tuition. As a result, she was in Lunarvale when the DVA System exploded and Mikage-cho hit, and so her path and story finally re-intersected with Minato's.

She does not have Thanatos inside of her. However, neither is she untouched by Death.

Persona Information
"I am thou... thou are I. I am Eurydice, Maiden of the Abyss.
Even through the darkest nights, I shall walk with you, for you and I are one."

Eurydice was an oak nymph, and later the wife of the musician, Orpheus. Unfortunately, she trod on a venomous serpent, which bit her ankle; she died almost instantly. Heartbroken, Orpheus descended to the Underworld to win her back from Hades; although he succeeded in making his case, there was one condition: that she would walk behind him all the way to the surface world, and that he would not look upon her until then. Nearing the surface, Orpheus' doubts grew, and he glanced back, only to see Eurydice's spirit wordlessly fade away.

Resonance

To other users, her resonance is best described as something akin to that of new leafy growth, or of a young oak tree. It speaks of the joy of spring, of life starting anew and bursting out all over, but there's also an undercurrent detectable by the resonance-adept: as wonderful as this all is, it's transitory in the end.

Smell-wise, it's quite clear that there's a plant theme going on: new growth |is the main note, as well as fresh spring air and a touch of a floral scent. Soundwise, it's somewhat akin to the rustling of leaves in the wind, with the occasional distant noise that almost sounds like someone's dancing in a forest glade, in the distance. As a new Evoker-user, Minako is currently blind to Resonance. This may change.

Notable Social Links
  • 0 - The Fool
    • Minato Arisato: "Joy" - Minako's twin brother! He's the older one, if it matters. Separated at the incident at the Moonlight Bridge, they were finally reunited in Mikage-cho. They have a lot of catching up to do, obviously. Right now he's the most important person in the world to her. He had a bit of a split with SEES for a while, but she stayed with them until he returned, to make sure he had a place to come back to. She discovered he's had Death sealed within him. It's something she can't help but be worried about; her worst fear is that they could even be separated from each other again.
    • Souji Seta: "Trust" - A resident of Inaba. Minako met him in Mikage-cho, where they helped each other out a little, and has since met him back in the real world. A serious but cute guy. His uncle's a detective. He seems to have a Shadowy stalker.
  • IV - The Emperor
    • Akatsuki Enda: "Renewal" - A graduate from Gekkoukan and another totally handsome SEES senpai. Minako decided to join the tennis club after a practice round with him. After she got sick fighting a giant snake Shadow in the rain (long story), he gave her (more accurately, she stole) her first kiss. He was kidnapped by what she thought was a Shadow, but turned out to be the Shadow-possessed Rena Kinukasa. Thankfully, he was rescued successfully!
    • Akihiko Sanada: "Unyielding" - Another totally awesome and handsome SEES senpai! Minako once barged into his dorm room to give him Valentine's Day chocolate. Even though he's moved out after graduation, she's made him promise to come back and visit.
  • V - The Hierophant
    • Shinjiro Aragaki: "Bravery" - Minako's ~senpai~ in SEES. She thinks he is just so cool. And he's really handsome, too! He also has the best girlfriend! She recently had a much more serious chat with him that helped her work out a few of her problems, a little bit.
  • VII - The Chariot
    • Aigis: "Enthusiasm" - A robot! She attends class, too, and even looks out for her brother. Minako thinks it's just too cool that she's an actual robot. She's promised to protect Minako. Minako's comforted her numerous times, in the wake of her accident in Shion's TV dungeon, to the difficult decision she and Mitsuru had faced, to Minato's temporary departure from SEES. Minako has found out the role Aigis played in the incident on the Moonlight Bridge, and talked to her about it and her feelings. Because of that, their bond of friendship has only strengthened; she's promised to protect Aigis, too.
    • Chie Satonaka: "Vitality" - An athletic girl her age from Inaba! Minako's given her some pointers on ~romansu~ and her advice seems to have earned Chie a boyfriend! She's also fought alongside her in Shion's TV Dungeon, delivered her chocolate, and given her further suggestions for making her own chocolate. This... sort of ended up with inflicting something truly awful upon other members of SEES.
  • VIII - Justice
    • Arisa Shiratori: "Determination" - A schoolmate from St. Hermelin that Minako more formally met in Mikage-cho, and later ran into again in the aftermath of that incident. She thinks very highly of Arisa and her sense of resolve, but she also thinks that she's pushing herself a little too hard. Her foremost wish is to teach Arisa how to relax and have a good time! Raj has asked her to teach Arisa how to cook. Another mission goal has been added!
  • X - Wheel of Fortune
    • Ran Itoh: "Energy" - Shinjiro's girlfriend. Minako thinks she's totally awesome and nice. She wants to learn first aid from Ran sometime. They both have similar tastes in manga, which has been another point to bond over.
  • XVI - The Tower
    • Himeru Namikawa "Realization" - Minako first met Himeru in Mikage-Cho, where she gave the younger girl some much needed support, and they've been friends (by Minako's estimation) ever since. She admires Himeru's sometimes quirky nature, and they tend to get along with each other quite well.
    • Kazuo Kagayama: "Hope" - A man with a tricky history, thanks to time shenanigans. In short, Minako promised to be there for him when things returned to how they'd been, and make sure he'd get the help he needed.
  • XVII - The Star
    • Hinata Itoh: "Delight" - A second year at Gekkoukan and another member of SEES. She and Hinata have chatted about manga a bit, and compliment each other well. More recently, they both went to meet with Kazuo Kagayama before time reset again, and made the man a promise.
  • XIX - The Sun
    • Raj Kapur: "Passion" - A very vibrant adult! He's from India, and he's a Bollywood actor. Together with him, she planned and executed a dance party that took place during the repeating Mondays. Arisa thinks he has the Potential, and Minako has promised to look out for him. She's promised to watch his commercials when they air on TV.
    • Shion Katsuragi: "Charisma" - A detective in Inaba. She came to visit Minako after she got sick from fighting a giant snake Shadow in the rain (long story). Minako helped fish her out of her TV dungeon, although Shion's Shadow badly injured her. She's since discovered Shion can now use Persona, too, and explained the Dark Hour to her.
    • Tatsuya Suou: "Attraction" - A very taciturn and stoic young man from Sumaru. She can totally tell he's a great guy, no matter how much he denies it. She tracked him down to give him his Valentine's chocolate early. In person.
