Kyo Enda recently transferred to the prestigious Fra Mauro University from Sumaru University; which many say should have been his destination in the first place, given his impeccable grades and track record at Seven Sisters, where he served as student council president and archery team captain. Kyo willingly accepted his Shadow after being pushed into the Inaba Midnight Channel. It took a form reflective both of his nature as a sociopath-- a type of human seemingly engineered by nature specifically to prey upon other humans-- and of his aversion to being alone.

The two man-eating lions of Tsavo, fancifully termed 'the Ghost' and 'the Darkness,' attained notoriety for-- over the span of nine months-- preying near-exclusively on railway workers constructing a bridge over the Tsavo River: attacking, killing, and eating countless men. After traps, fires, and thorn hedges failed to stop or deter them, hundreds of workers fled rather than be devoured, halting work until the lions were finally hunted out and shot.

SHAPE: A pair of joined black lions, which roll and move together as if magnetically bonded. Restless and never still, they twist and prowl over and under and through one another: but they always touch, and never part fully from one another even for a moment. They may not even be capable of doing so. Like most lions of the Tsavo region, they lack long manes; what mane they do have forms a short, bristling ruff about their faces and necks. Shadow and darkness trail from these short manes and sweep from the ends of their tails. In its doubled state, the Shadow stands about eight feet at its shoulders and twenty feet long; the paired lions are also capable of combining their mass and temporarily sliding together into a single leonine form, which sacrifices some of its mobility and raw mutilating power in favor of gaining an even greater size.

RESONANCE: A predator, lurking hidden in tall grass, waiting for something young and tender to wander past.
