Profile

Detective Katsuragi is a rising star in the Inaba Police Department--smart, skilled, and driven, she also has the unfortunate habit of getting a little carried away, which can lead to a few mistakes. She came home to Inaba to pursue her career as a detective and get to the bottom of the strange goings-on, and might even be a semi-familiar face to some people who know that her family runs the Katsuragi Funeral Home. Her sunny disposition conceals a serious temperament and a real drive to succeed, and she's not willing to let her relative inexperience get in the way of her dreams.

Brief History Since Arriving in Inaba

Got back, got to work, found out everything was completely insane. Had a car wreck! Is currently /missing her date/. Still trying to save the world.

• 0 - The Fool
  • Tohru Adachi: A fellow detective at the Inaba PD, and Shion's senpai on the force. Her opinion of him is fairly complicated. He seems like a good guy, who stresses himself out entirely too much trying to keep everybody's spirits up. On the other hand, he seems to set her to a lot of menial, stupid tasks that don't have much to do with being a detective. She isn't very happy about this, but she hasn't said anything. He did live through Mikage-cho, though, which speaks well of him.
  • Souji Seta: A student at Yasogami High, and her boss's nephew. He's also a leader in the Inaba operations for the Kuzunoha Detective Agency. Shion doesn't know him very well, but he seems like a good kid with a decent head on his shoulders...mostly. She has a very favorable opinion of him overall, especially after his handling of the Mikage-cho incident. This may be influenced by the fact that he seems to appreciate her, but she thinks he makes a good leader all the same.
• I - The Magician
  • Yosuke Hanamura: A student at Yasogami High, and an affiliate with the KDA. He apparently has dreams of being a prosecutor. He seems stressed out by a lot of things. They have reached something of an understanding, and Shion has a bit of respect for him.
• II - The High Priestess
  • Yukiko Amagi: A student at Yasogami High, and an affiliate of the KDA. Shion has special concern for her after incidents involving Kandori, and at guessing how important she is to someone else she knows. Shion actually rather likes Yukiko, and feels a definite bond with her over her experiences as the heir to the Amagi Inn.
• III - The Empress
  • Tomomi Fujimori: A powerful girl who can apparently turn into a monster, and seeks to tear down society. She put Shion in the hospital, once, but there might be something to be done for her.
• V - The Hierophant
  • Ryotaro Dojima: Shion's boss. Severe kind of a guy, but respectable.
• VII - The Chariot
  • Aigis: A nice girl who goes to Gekkoukan and is apparently a robot. Shion trusts her, and is hoping to help with her apparent aspirations to join the police force.
  • Chie Satonaka: BROKEN Not someone Shion knows well, but a student at Yasogami and affiliated with the KDA. While they originally met under poor circumstances, Shion has taken a liking to her, seeing a lot of herself in her. Especially given her protectiveness of a friend. Shion is trying to keep an eye out for her. This resulted in a rather unfortunate sequence of events wherein Shion tried to keep her out of the danger of going to Mikage-cho--and failed. Instead, she got a rather violent reprisal for her efforts. Shion later sought her out to handle the matter, but was informed that Chie will 'never forgive her'. This is not going to improve on its own.
• VIII - Justice
  • Nanako Dojima: Dojima's daughter, who apparently has a lot more troubles than someone her age should. Has a habit of getting into trouble, though Shion is trying to spend more time with her.
• X - The Wheel of Fortune
  • Koichi Nakano: A yasogami student who saw one of the murder victims in the serial killing case in Inaba. Has a lot troubling him, it would seem, and they don't talk much these days. Shion was supposed to watch him, but he was kidnapped anyway. He's safe now, however.
  • Takaya Sakaki: The head of the death cult known as Strega. Shion has met him more than once, though the first time he was masked, enganging in acts that she was trying her best to stop. The second time, she shot him. She views him as a complete monster.
• XI - Strength
  • Enoha Koinose: A clerk at a local bookstore, and someone Shion would consider to be among the best friends she has in Inaba, despite their relaively short acquaintance. Enoha is the person Shion probably trusts the most of the people she knows now, in maters natural and supernatural. This has only increased after going through a few days of hell with her in Mikage-cho, though Shion finds a distressing jealousy over the close bond Enoha seems to share with Adachi. It bothers her, and she doesn't talk about it.
• XIII - Death
  • Shirou Sekigawa: A Yasogami student affiliated with the KDA, who has been through entirely too much and made the dangerous move of trying to bait the Inaba killer. Shion is keeping a special eye on him for that, trying to take the time to mentor him a little.
• XVI - The Tower
  • Reid O'Lennon: A bartender out in Lunarvale who is apparently ex-military, and seems concerned for her safety, since she's been wrapped up in all of this supernatural stuff. Shion is very fond of him, and has a bit of a playful relationship with the American. He's also asked her out recently, though their date was put off thanks to the recent events in Lunarvale. She feels guilt over this, considering that she tipped him off to the operation there. Still, she trusts him. She met him in Mikage-cho, too, and is still planning to go on that date.
  • Thora Kobayashi: An apparent delinquent in Inaba, who goes to Yasogami and is in fact the reason Shion is affiliated with the KDA. Shion feels that she's a good kid at heart, who's really trying to turn her life around. The detective intends to help.
  • Takahisa Kandori: Basically, the devil. He's the head of SEBEC, is the prime suspect in a cold murder case in Inaba (though she would have a hard time convincing anyone else of this), and a very dangerous man. Shion doesn't know what his deal is.

Trivia

• Shion actually went to the police academy--and originally got her promotion to Detective--in Sumaru City. She still tries to make it back there every so often.
• Shion has a lot of experience around funerals, and this may skew her perspective occasionally.
• Shion was the student council president in her senior year at Yasogami High.
• Shion takes a good run every morning, before going to work.
• Shion has a potted plant at home. So far, it is still alive. This is something of an accomplishment for her.
