Profile and Skills
Fuuka Yamagishi grew up trying to please her parents as well as everyone else. Her parents were insecure because the rest of her family was doctors and they were not. Because of them pushing her, she became withdrawn. She has a reputation for being a shy, sickly girl. She helps SEES because she is so thankful that they saved her and helped her discover her power. Her skills lie mainly in noncombat areas, providing technical support and backup for SEES. Few can parallel her detection and scanning abilities. Despite this, Fuuka tends to feel she is useless and powerless to help others. She was very introverted and not very good at standing up for herself, which used to cause problems with her fellow classmates. However, since the Tartarus incident, she is learning that she possesses a strength that is unlike anyone else's.

Saint Lucy was named the patron saint of the blind. She was a Christian who was persecuted. Lucy was a virgin, would not marry a pagan whom she had an arranged marriage with and she gave her dowry to the poor. Her fiancé told the governor of Syracuse, Sicily that she was not a Christian. They tried to burn or move her but they couldn’t because she was so filled with the Holy Spirit, so instead they gouged her eyes out. The story goes that when she died God gave her even more beautiful eyes.
