I - IV
  • WOMAN OF ACTION
    • In Yisa's eyes, the inability to act is just as evil as possessing malicious intent. She has seen her share of diplomacy, and has also seen how it inevitably falters and falls corrupt. She's lost her faith in its process. The only way to see results, fix wrongs, and protect innocence is to take the first step, throw the first punch, or draw the first sword. Good intentions cannot help others without direct action, and if the world needs that first sharp blade and willing hand to hold at the throat of the enemy, then she will become both.
  • HONOURABLE
    • Yisa is a proud young woman. She knows exactly what she came from and who she is, and her greatest strength and most precious treasure is her dignity, something she wears proudly and protects with every inch of her strength. She believes in the virtue of honesty and even subscribes to a specific decorum when dealing with all people -- from trusted allies to detested enemies. Even her most reprehensible opponents will be treated with the same respect offered to all human beings.
  • HAIR TRIGGER TEMPER
    • It does not take much to anger Yisa Taimiev. An rude interjection or ill-advised phrase, most days, may be more than enough to strike the flint of her anger. Sometimes even one wrong look has been said to set her off. Now and then, on her particularly more volatile days, sometimes "good morning" or "how are you" is enough to make Yisa's temper burn the heavens down. She's more than aware of this. She holds no delusions against the quickdraw nature of her anger, and how it is a perpetual impediment on her life.
  • NUCLEAR FALLOUT
    • The most passionate sorts of people are usually the most unstable, and Yisa is no exception. She's full of passion, which means she's also packed full of anger. Literally burning with it more often than not, she is the sin of wrath sculpted into human form, and even she's aware of its reach and impact, and thus has promised to herself to only ever wield it in the defence of others. Even then, if engaged past even her own sense of self-control, not even Yisa is sure she can handle her own temper. Friend or foe or even family, if incited, no one is completely spared from her balefire if she's crossed or even brushed the wrong way, and Yisa is not beneath savage, snarling lectures or even a sharp backhand to the face to make her piece known.
V - VIII
  • VOW OF PACIFISM
    • Yisa has had a brush with her own fury. She's seen what it's capable of, and she knows what it can do. She knows all the emotions that are baying in her heart, and her own capacity for brutality and bloodshed frightens her. She is pretty sure that, by her very nature, she is not much more than a tamed animal that, given one taste of fresh meat, will remember all of its primal instincts. By that fear, she has sworn an oath to herself that, despite her path, she will never take a human life. She knows that oath may be the only thing that will ever hold her own principles in check and allow her to continue her fight. She believes, wholly and completely, that there is a darkness in her, a potential monster that, if allowed to murder just once, may never be controlled again...
  • ALPHA FEMALE
    • Hand in hand with that damnable temper is Yisa's iron will. She is a dominant and authoritarian personality, one unused and unwilling to accept orders. What makes it worse is that she believes infinitely in her principles and cannot concede or compromise them by an inch. Yisa also beholds herself something of a latent leader, and since the discovery of her Persona, is obsessed with the idea that she is destined for great things. In the way of a self-fulfilling prophecy, her persona has surprised and intrigued her deeply, forcing her to re-evaluate herself and wonder if she has the makings for a powerful and legendary leadership. In the meantime, she refuses to let herself down.
  • GUTSY
    • Reticence, caution, and prudence are not part of Yisa's vocabulary. While she has some capacity to be calculating, generally her heart overrides her head, and if angry enough, passionate enough, she'll blow all caution to the wind and act without thinking. Muggers, Soviet troops, demons, monsters -- Yisa will take them all on, frequently without a second thought. Even when she knows she's headed in over her head, she'll still plunge ahead if her principles are driving her. Threats to her safety are frequently ignored in favor of the need to act on her curiosity or her ideals.
  • MOUTHY
    • Hand-in-hand with her gutsy nature is a wry sense of humour and, to put it bluntly, a smart mouth. Yisa tends to meet adversity with sarcasm and quips indiscriminately at friend and foe alike. Lacking anyone else around, she'll even mouth off at herself.
IX - XII
  • DRIVEN
    • Yisa isn't just bold, she's also about as tenacious as a pit bull. Once something has piqued her curiosity or pricked her ideals, she won't quit until she sees the whole thing ended and buried, and the ground it's laid in sown with salt. If it means arguing, prying, threatening, fighting, and generally leaving no stone unturned and making a complete nuisance of herself, too bad. If it means going without sleep for forty hours on a mild concussion, so be it.
  • PRIVILEGED
    • As much as Yisa would like to think herself the idealistic everyman, so many of her hard-burned "ideals" are the side-effects of privilege. When one has money, family, and comfort, it becomes so very simple to think in ideals and absolutes; when one has never wanted for a single meal, it is simple to think that good deeds and courage will cure all ails. Despite seeing her share of hurt in the world, Yisa has really yet to experience it first hand, and a lot of her crusading personality can easily be undermined by her own ignorance and naivete. She still has a lot to learn.
  • ALL ARE EQUAL'
    • Thanks largely in part to her own privilege, Yisa rarely gives much consideration to class, gender, culture, or race. As far as she's concerned, people are people. After some time spent in Japan, it may become a matter of course for her to extend that consideration to non-humans as well -- if it speaks and acts intelligently and with reason, it's a person and should be treated as such, no matter whether it's a human being, an errant Shadow, or an artificial intelligence housed in a robot body. The fact that Yisa tends naturally to personify (and often talk to) animals and inanimate objects may have something to do with how naturally such a lack of prejudice comes to her; she honestly hardly thinks about it any more.
  • TENACIOUS
    • Yisa is tough, both physically and mentally. She has to be, to keep functioning in this world, to live up to the designs of her own principles. Knock her down, she'll just get back up; attack what she considers her territory and people, and she'll track you down and stop you again. And again. And again. There are times when she may get tired and bitter, but her dedication won't let her quit. She's come to see every little success as a victory, as much as a defense mechanism as anything else -- she has to believe she's actually accomplishing something even though a lot of her efforts may be mostly fruitless in the long run.
XIII - XVI
  • QUIRKY
    • Partly as a result of going from a family of five to a solitary apartment, and partly just because of a natural tendency to think out loud, Yisa talks to herself when she's alone. She's also prone to talking to animals and inanimate objects. It's a quirk.
  • COLOURS OUTSIDE THE LINES
    • Yisa has an obligation to crusade and protect, but she's not above playing fast and loose with the letter of the law (even those in foreign countries) to preserve the spirit, especially in a world where the letter of the law is frequently used to create loopholes for wrongdoers. Despite not being an official, or even a citizen of Japan, she'll pursue her own investigations as she sees fit, and use the authority of her family name to help ease the way. If she thinks she can get away with it, and if she sees an opening, she'll take it, and worry about the petty details later.
  • LATENT BLOODTHIRST
    • There is a darkness in Yisa. It does not balk at the sight of blood and horror. It does not turn away in sympathy against the sound of pain. It possesses all of a wicked human being's capacity for dark imaginings. One would call it a purely unmitigated sense of atavistic aggression, and it feeds purely off her anger. She's always lived with this darkness, felt it gestate and grow as she turned older, and saw it unleashed only once in its terrible magnificence against the world. And it frightened her to death. Instead of embracing, or even tolerating this unwanted side of herself, one that seems to crave violence and thirst for the sight of blood, Yisa has rejected it totally, going as far as to swear a solemn oath as never to oblige or feed that darkness once in her life. Should she ever decide she just wants to give in...
  • ALONE
    • Above all, Yisa is well-aware that the path of a crusader is a solitary one. While it is within her duties to enlist allies and create an army, when it comes down to executing her principles, she is allowed only one life to sacrifice to the cause. She realizes that to be the person she wants to be, to truly want to elicit change in the world, she has to walk her own path separate from others. She must bear her own burdens and not have to rely on others to maintain her forward momentum. This oath also maintains that when it comes to people in her life, friends and family, or her principles, she must always choose the latter.
