Reki lives in Inaba with his exceptionally young mother Koyomi. He's a dedicated man, focused on what he views to be his job, his duties and his responsibilities. He puts very little time aside for fun, or entertainment, focusing on his 'job.' His problem is he's a middle school student, and not some beaten down salary man. He sometimes comes across as distant, sometimes as a little too intense, and at other times sort of like a boy trying far, far too hard to seem grown up. He will soon find himself caught up in the insanity of Inaba, as he feels responsible to help those who are around him, and can't just stand by

Masumi Hayashi: Reki met this boy through a mutual acquaintance Shirou Sekigawa. In general he has no idea of what to make of Masumi, as Masumi seems relatively nice, but the fact he refers to himself with the female pronoun and the fact he wears women's clothing give him pause. Recently, they had a bit of a climactic falling out, it remains to be seen if their friendship will recover.
Shiori Hibiki: A very nice girl. Reki met her under weird circumstances, but the two get along (although she's a terrifying as she's a girl). She gave him valentine's chocolate, binding Reki to have to provide her with chocolate by white day.

Koyomi Kurusu: Reki's mother. Once she blamed him for his father's using and abandoning her. Lately she's been trying to make it up to him, trying to help him grow, and do normal things.

Grandfather Souma: Reki's Grandfather, who favors Reki over his own son due to his dilligence, but who at the same time makes it clear to Reki the demands of appropriate appearances.

Yoh Yamagatani: Reki finds himself running into Yoh a lot. He's had quite a few long chats with him and is frequently struck with how he and the other boy are similar in mindsets, but have drastically different approaches.

Shirou Sekigawa: Sekigawa-sempai has been a major friend to Reki since moving to Inaba, and has helped him to generally deal with the whole 'crazy persona' thing. Shirou's also tried to get him to open up somewhat.

Takahito Souma: Reki's father. Reki's entire life is almost predicated on not being him.

Trivia and Extras
Reki's name translates roughly as either 'calender' or 'to break apart.'
Part Time Jobs
Reki works several, all of them tied back to the Souma Foundation. They mostly classify as odd jobs, as he technically only works there when they are understaffed.
Names for them as Reki's player thinks them up.
Sakimoto Auto Repair: Sumaru. Reki helps out occasionally with the folks doing car repair, doing routine jobs.
Teamsters: Station in Inaba, servicing nearby area: Reki usually rides along with the trucks, making deliveries, carrying heavy loads. Delivers to a lot of businesses in Inaba, including Junes. The chains Reki uses in combat come from here.
Meat Packing: Okina, Reki's been required to help move meat around on occasion.
Security: Reki occasionally helps with low key security guard concerns.
Aztec Burger: Junes Food Court in Inaba. Reki occasionally serves part time for this place when its otherwise understaffed. He met a few people this way.
Sanitation: Sumaru and Port City. Reki works occasionally for two part time sanitation jobs in Sumaru and Port City, cleaning up the streets.
